Summary

The Kansas City office is looking for a Structural Engineering intern to assist with project related work including bridges and structures, retaining walls, load rating, and structural inspections.  

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing education focused in structural engineering
  • Completion of basic structural analysis courses
  • Completion of structural design courses (steel, concrete) preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD or MicroStation
  • Local candidates preferred, no relocation assistance provided

 

General Duties & Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Copies sketches, layouts, and drawings prepared by others into MicroStation.

2. Assist in the field investigation (inspection) of structures both locally and nationally.

3. Will learn proficiency in operation of computer-aided drafting.

4. Assignments of increasing difficulty will be submitted as proficiency is increased. 

5. Individual is flexible and may work with numerous project teams to help in project completion.
